Media Lounge - Sony joins forces with Gameshastra to drive into India new Cart Kings game |

| Sony Computer Entertainment Europe along with Gameshastra gave Indian gamers Desi Adda: Games of India that claimed to be the first console game that was offered in three Indian languages. It came bundled with six traditional Indian games that included Gilli Danda, Kite Fight, Kabaddi and Pachisi. The duo once again comes together to unveil a new exclusively styled arcade racing game known as Cart Kings for the Sony PS2 and PSP. |

The title unfurls packed with various familiar Tinkle characters like Tantri the Mantri, Supandi and Shikari Shambhu as well as other famous Indian characters such as Papaji, Chhotu, Meme, Muthhu, Aunty 707 and NRB. Players and racing enthusiasts can take on any one of the roles as they race around different landmarks strewn across India. Cart Kings is a product of SCEE and ACK Media who are the owners of Tinkle, Amar Chitra Katha Karadi and other children's brands that children around the country are familiar with. The arcade-style racing title is sprinkled with a unique Indian flavor and highlights Indian streets in various popular tourist landmarks.
"Cart Kings is a significant step where we have worked closely with Indian IP owner like ACK Media to have a game distinctly designed for the young Indian audience. This game features cart races in Indian environments and setting with the inclusion of famously established cartoon characters from Tinkle. The game is pure fun with the most recognizable Indian characters which make this a must have this summer season for the Indian kid," revealed Atindriya Bose, Country Manager, Sony PlayStation – India.
"Cart King is an exciting milestone in our goal of bringing Tinkle characters alive for the new generation. We believe that gaming especially on mobile/portable platforms is absolutely critical to this effort. We are excited to partner with Sony on this project and will continue to build new games based on our IP for the PlayStation platform," stated Samir Patil, CEO and Founder, ACK Media.
Gamers can expect eight landmarks to be highlighted such as Tiger Land, Orissa, Delhi, Kush Mountains, Bollywood and Tea Garden. There are power-ups and power-downs strewn across the game along with 216 unique combinations such as bulls, racing carts and players. Adding more spice to the title, players can avail of ten throwable power-ups like fire-crackers, Bollywood beats, chillies, hay, energy wings, rocket, garlic pod, soda bottle, skates and skates. The game also includes other modes like Time Trial, Racing Festival, Quick Race and Multiplayer Game with two Modes for the PS2 system.
Cart Kings can now be enjoyed on the Sony PS2 console or the portable PSP system for individual prices of Rs. 499 and Rs. 699 in India.
