  Media Lounge - SCEE Launches Cart Kings in India for PS2, PSP  
"Cart Kings is a significant step where we have worked closely with Indian IP owner like ACK Media to have a game distinctly designed for the young Indian audience. This game features cart races in Indian environments and setting with the inclusion of famously established cartoon characters from Tinkle. The game is pure fun with the most recognizable Indian characters which make this a must have this summer season for the Indian kid," said Atindriya Bose, Country Manager, Sony PlayStation – India.
SCEE Launches Cart Kings in PS2 and PSP
The game which is fashioned for the Sony PSP and PS2 systems will feature familiar Tinkle characters such as Supandi, Tantri the Mantri and Shikari Shambhu among other famous Indian characters like Muthhu, Chhotu, Meme, Papaji, NRB and Aunty 707. Gamers can play as any one of the above mentioned and race across various landmarks around the plains of India.

Samir Patil, CEO and Founder, ACK Media commented at the release, "Cart King is an exciting milestone in our goal of bringing Tinkle characters alive for the new generation. We believe that gaming especially on mobile/portable platforms is absolutely critical to this effort. We are excited to partner with Sony on this project and will continue to build new games based on our IP for the PlayStation platform."

SCEE is noted to have collaborated with Indian IP owner ACK Media in order to unleash Cart Kings and cater to Indian players. The company is the owners of Amar Chitra Katha Karadi, Tinkle and other children's brands that are famous with kids all over the country. Adding that unique Indian flavor to the gaming world, the arcade-style racing genre title also introduces gamers to Indian streets in many popular tourist landmarks. There are eight landmarks to watch out for namely Tea Garden, Kush Mountains, Tiger Land, Orissa, Delhi and even Bollywood.

Prakash Ahuja, CEO, Gameshastra added, "Cart Kings continues our mission to develop Indian thematic games after the resounding success of 'Desi Adda – Games of India.' This game will appeal to all age groups and we believe will make its mark in the global markets."

PSP and PS2 owners will be able to acquire power-ups and power-downs as well as 216 unique combinations that include implementation of racing carts, bulls and players. During the course of the races, 10 throwable power-ups are offered to up the ante such as chillies, fire-crackers, hay, Bollywood beats, rocket, energy wings, garlic pod, skates, soda bottle and shield. Other modes include Racing Festival, Time Trial, Quick Race and Multiplayer Game with 2 Modes for the PS2. The PSP and PS2 versions of Cart Kings are priced at Rs 699 and Rs 499 respectively and are already available in India.
