Media Lounge - Gameshastra releases three new PSP Minis, including Pachisi
Gameshastra, the Indian developer responsible for D-Cube Planet and Circles, has released three new PSP Minis games onto the PlayStation Network, for both PSP and PS3 owners enjoyment.

The first is Pachisi, which is often referred to as India's national boardgame. The name comes from the Hindi word 'pachis', meaning twenty-five - the largest score that can be thrown with the cowrie shells. Cowrie shells act as dice, essentially, governing how far you can move on a turn.

To win, you have to get your pieces to the finish before the three other players. Easy to learn but hard to master, apparently.

PachisiThe second release is Tiger Trouble, another strategy boardgame recreated for a modern audience. The idea, like most classic games, is simple: if playing as the tigers you must kill the seven of the fifteen opposing goats. Should you decide to play as the goats, you must trap three tigers instead.

The use of strategy and guile is a must whichever side you choose to play as, and those who enjoy simple, strategic gameplay will no doubt enjoy what Tiger Trouble offers.

Last but not least is something a bit different. Route 66 is what some might call a hidden object game (or a HOG to its friends).

As you might expect, you must look for objects as you make your merry way along the iconic Route 66 that starts in Santa Monica, California, and ends in Chicago, Illinois.

All the places along the way are based on what you would find on the route in real life, including ghost towns and other places of interest.

All three can be downloaded now from the PlayStation Network store. Pricing depends on where you live.
